Why are ingredients important in home fragrances?

First up: Wax!

The first ingredient in every candle is wax.

There are so many different types of wax to choose from. We've chosen 100% pure soy wax. We made this decision based on three key reasons:

Renewability: Soy wax is vegetable wax derived from soybeans, making it a renewable alternative to paraffin wax.

Nontoxic burn: Soybeans are grown without pesticides so it is an eco-friendly choice!

Superior burn time: Soy wax naturally takes longer to burn. That means that our candles last longer than your traditional store-bought paraffin candle!

Next up: Fragrances!

The second ingredient is fragrance!

Contrary to popular belief, not all fragrance oils are toxic. While some fragrance oils are toxic to breathe in, Lumier Home uses Phthalate-Free fragrances.

You might wonder... What are phthalates?

Phthalates are chemicals that are known to be endocrine disruptors and can be detrimental to human health.

That's why we've chosen to steer clear of that harmful chemical!

Lastly: Wicks!

Wicks might seem like a small detail, but trust us they make a huge difference! We exclusively use lead-free cotton wicks.

What is the difference?

Even burn. Good quality is about having a high standard and delivering to customers what they expect. We deliver just that. Our wicks burn evenly which prevents tunneling and extends the life of your candle!

Safety: Safety is crucial. Lead wicks have up to 5 times the amount of lead considered safe for humans! With our cotton wicks, you can enjoy your candle without any concerns.
